Starting from October 4, the booking system for the Penny’s Bay Quarantine Centre (PBQC) on Lantau Island has been reopened. An additional 200 units at PBQC will be provided starting from October 22, making a total of 1 000 units for quarantine of incoming foreign domestic helpers (FDHs) who have stayed in Group A specified places. The above arrangement is applicable to FDHs who have been fully vaccinated in regions where Hong Kong has reached recognition arrangements on vaccination records (click here to view the part on "Places where Hong Kong has reached recognition arrangments with the relevant governments").
For FDHs who received full COVID-19 vaccination or received the last dose of vaccine in Hong Kong, Mainland, Macao or at places where its national regulatory authority is designated by the World Health Organization as a stringent regulatory authority (Please refer to the aforementioned list of regions), they may undergo compulsory quarantine at a general designated quarantine hotel or a designated quarantine facility (i.e. Silka Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong and PBQC).
(Attention: Employers and employment agencies may, starting from 9 am on October 4, make an application for room reservation through the booking system. The booking system displays the rooms available for booking from October 22 to 28. Rooms available for reservation in the next round will be displayed on the booking system at 9 am every Monday. For example, rooms from October 29 to November 4 will be available for reservation on October 11, and so on. If any reservations are cancelled by applicants, the rooms will be available for booking again. In order to arrange FDHs to come to Hong Kong in a gradual and orderly manner and to guard against imported cases, PBQC will continue to receive at most 50 FDHs every day. When the booking quotas have been filled, applicants cannot not enter the page of “Start Booking” of the booking system.)
